Why we built Leap for WeCroak

Since WeCroak launched in 2017, we tend to get asked the same question over and over: why would anyone want to be reminded of death five times per day?

Since then, over 150,000 people have joined us in seeking a little more happiness by living closer to what’s true about death. We’ve heard from many of them. Death can happen at any time and remembering that helps people live closer to what they care about most with more urgency. They don’t put off quality time with family or friends to a day that may never happen. They stop giving themself a hard time about something that doesn’t ultimately matter to them.

When you walk more closely with death, death keeps asking the question: who do you want to be before you die? What kinds of values do you want to live by?

After listening to WeCroakers, we built Leap to help them go deeper into deathful mindfulness. It’s a monthly subscription and it helps keep the app alive and well with some new tools based on what the WeCroak community values most about the app.

For WeCroak Leap we built a new Daily Review tool that makes tracking what matters most to you each day simpler. It is a way of quickly and seamlessly holding yourself accountable to the guiding statements you choose of how you want to live.

The Leap subscription also has more hard-hitting WeCroak quotes that are only for subscribers

Every Leap subscriber receives a weekly death mindfulness challenge. There are so many different kinds of death mindfulness and you can try them all here.

And finally joining Leap lets you create your own Memento Mori images with your photos.

We hope you join us in going a little deeper with death. Subscribe through the app. Leap is only available through iOS right now but we hope to change that soon.
